Oof talk about a u-turn! This week Twitter gave us a sneak-peak into a potential alternative for the blue-tick now it’s going to be available to everyone for a price aaaaaaaannnnnnnnddddddd then promptly backtracked. Before saying they were going to launch. And then backtracking on their backtrack’s backtrack. Sooooo… *shrugs*.

What does this mean for me?

Who. Frigging. Knows. Grab the popcorn and watch this space as Musk inevitably throws out more crazy ish over the next few months.

Two words – In-app Scheduling! If you have a professional account you will soon be able to use this awesome feature. The scheduler lives in “advanced settings” where you can choose when you want it to go out. It’s unclear whether this will include Creator accounts although we suspect not.

What does this mean for you?
Less time trying to find the right scheduler. More time creating awesome content or enjoying free time!

LinkedIn
The professional platform announced a new educational partnership with GitHub this week. Aimed at helping developers get real workplace-like practice to boost their coding skills, it’s available via LinkedIn Learning.

What does this mean for you?
If you’re an IT professional, this is big news and could seriously help you further your career. If you’re in the IT world and manage a team, this could help you support their professional development.

TikTok
Following on from the announcement a few weeks ago, TikTok has published a clear overview of safety tools available on the app. Given that it’s the most popular social app among teens, safeguarding is critical to the continued success of the platform. You can see it in a handy infographic here.

It’s Native American Heritage Month in the US, and TikTok has announced a range of features and events in support. There’s a Native TikTok hub, a line-up of live broadcasts, and a Native American Heritage Month music playlist is being showcased.

What does this mean for you?
Safeguarding cannot be underestimated and making use of these features can help you keep teens and younger users safe.

IF it’s relevant to your business, by all means make use of the features available for this month. HOWEVER please do not jump on the bandwagon for the sake of it.
