Hello! I’m Jordan Domin, the person behind Curlyworm Creative, you can see my picture on the About Us page if you really want to know what I look like. Launching a new website feels like the perfect opportunity to introduce myself and the company so prepare to learn more.
For both my partner, Liam, and I travelling is a massive part of our life, we moved to the Netherlands for the summer of 2020 and have lots of adventures planned. Liam already had a job lined up in the Netherlands so when we discussed what I would do for work I knew I wanted something I could do from anywhere without feeling like I was kissing goodbye to a career. Luckily the discussion about the dog coming was significantly shorter! In almost every job I had prior to going it alone, writing of some description was involved and I’ve always loved doing it so when a friend suggested I give it a go full time I researched the heck out of it and jumped in. It is by far one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, without even taking into account Coronavirus and the impact that had on business for a while, but between the incredible support I get from all my friends and family and the joy I see when clients love what I’ve written for them, I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
Working with fellow sole traders and small businesses has always been something I’m passionate about, as is forming personal relationships with clients, so it made sense to carry this on with Curlyworm. Most copywriters have a niche that they work in whereas I prefer to work as a copywriting partner to my clients, more akin to how someone in-house would work. It means I get to know them really well which in turn helps me write in their brand voice without much thought. I pride myself on being open, honest, reliable, and trustworthy and believe the best way to do business is through mutual like and respect. That’s why you can find my pricing in big bold words on the website and I send out clear terms and conditions to all new clients. No scary hidden costs here!
If you fancy finding out how letting a travel and dog obsessed copywriter into your head can benefit your business get in touch, I promise you won’t regret it.
