Coming in hot with the updates you need to know this week.
Instagram
Big changes to Stories – videos under 60 seconds are no longer split up. A new Nudity Protection feature is in testing to shield users from unwanted DMs. Reposting Stories as Reels is now possible.
What does this mean for you?
Finally no faffing about using a third-party app to cut up longer videos to use in Stories. Just post and go. Less time editing means more time doing other things.
Nudity Protection will be a welcome feature for many users, if you’re playing by the rules it won’t impact anything you do as a business BUT it does have the potential to stop those pesky scam messages.
FINALLY! Reposting Stories as Reels is something a lot of us have been doing and this new feature will make the process a lot smoother.
LinkedIn
Say hello to an easy way to organise your message with the Focused Inbox.
What does this mean for you?
This is a fantastic way to filter out those annoying spam messages that creep into your inbox.
Facebook
You can finally share Reels via third-parties, opening this feature out to everyone. They’re also focusing on short-form video, which makes sense when you think they own Instagram.
What does this mean for you?
Being able to share Reels via third-parties means you can use schedulers to get your content batched. The focus on short-term video is something no one is surprised by, so get practicing!
See you back here next week for the next update!
